Happy Monday! Missing this Hello Kitty donut at the organized chaos of the shibuya crossing in Tokyo 🇯🇵🍩. The Shibuya “scramble” crossing is well known for people watching and a must visit while in Tokyo. When the traffic lights turn red, pedestrians would pour out from all sides and meet in the middle of the intersection. I find it very calming to watch from afar. Also, Hachiko statue is in one of the corners of this intersection! — I’ve been spending some time re-learning Japanese through iknow.jp and I love it so much! To my fellow 日本語 learners, i highly recommend checking out iknow.jp @iknowjp to review your kanji, listening skills and vocabularies. It makes the learning process super fun compared to using flash cards! However, this app will not teach Japanese from scratch – you have to use this in conjunction of a text book since they do not teach you grammar. I wish apps like this existed when I was learning Japanese in college! You can also learn other language like Chinese and English for SAT learners #iKnowjp

🐱💖🎀 Too cute to eat!!! When i saw this Hello Kitty dim sum featured by @danielfooddiary, my first reaction was “I MUST HAVE IT NOW 😱”. So, off I went to the Hello Kitty restaurant which offers tons of Kitty-themed dishes! Traditionally, this is Liu Sha Bao aka Salted Egg Yolk custard bun – which is a popular part of dim sum and best known for the liquid salted egg yolk filling which is sweet and full of flavors. Many people complained about the food quality here, but I think they have improved since the first opening a few months ago. You shouldn’t go here expecting for the best dimsum (especially in Hong Kong), but if you are a Hello Kitty fan you MUST go! #toocutetoeat The Dapper collection by @danielwellingtonwatches launches today! It’s men’s watch but I love the deep blue hands. Use “dwGirleatsworld” for a further 20% discount at their website! Code has been extended to 30th October 👌🏼

4th favorite #GirlEatWorld moment of 2015 – This is a Bo Lo Bao at The Peak in Hong Kong 🇭🇰. This year i visited Hong Kong four times = Three times for work and once for a trip with @skyscannersg. In total, I spent over a month and got to know the city really well, especially the Causeway Bay area. Thanks @singasongjess for accompanying me on one of the trips and @cultoflee for meeting up whenever possible! Why Bo Lo Bao? Because it’s so popular in Hong Kong that it became part of Hong Kong’s intangible cultural heritage. Bo lo bao means pineapple bun 🍍 but it does not contain any pineapple at all. It earned its name due to the sweet crust of the top of the bun which resembles the scaly exterior of pineapples. It’s normally had for breakfast, and sometimes served with a block of iced butter inside. The Peak is a short tram / cab ride away from Central Hong Kong. It’s a popular spot for a scenic view of Hong Kong island. On a good day you can see across the victoria harbor on to the Kowloon side as seen in this picture!

🇯🇴 Limonana aka Lemon Mint 🍋🍃 at the Dead Sea at the beautiful Kempinski Ishtar @kempinskiishtar. It was quite a surreal experience to be floating in the dead sea. As soon as you enter the water, you can feel instant weightlessness. Then you just lay back and it feels like you are laying down on a floatie! Definitely a bucket list ☑️ After dipping into the dead sea, you can also try the mud therapy which is supposed to be good for your skin. I found the earthy smell a bit too overbearing so I only had it on for about 3 minutes, but it did make my skin feel super soft! Limonana has been my drink of choice in Jordan. It’s a popular drink in the middle east, made of lemon juice and fresh mint leaves, served frozen as a slushie. The perfect drink to cool down on a relaxing hot afternoon by the pool. Right behind the Limonana is the Dead Sea and the country border between Jordan and Palestine. Aside of the weightless feeling, it is unreal to realize you are looking at different countries on each side of the sea! #VisitJordan #ShareYourJordan #ShotOniPhone6sPlus Follow me on snapchat and facebook for more real time update! ▶️girleatworld◀️ on both platforms. ✈️🇯🇴 I’ve landed in Amman, Jordan this morning! After a quick nap I went out in the afternoon to get a taste of Jordan, literally. This is an Arabic ice cream 🍦 from @gerardicecream in Rainbow street, one of the most popular ice cream joint in Amman. The Arabic Ice cream consists of crumbled pistachio and gum arabic made from acacia tree sap. The pistachio gave an amazing texture that really compliments the fragrance of gum arabic. It’s like a really aromatic vanilla ice cream! I also had what is probably the best falafel sandwich from Al Quds. I thought about saving half the sandwich for later, but after the first bite I knew such thing was not possible so I finished it! 😅 The perfectly crunchy texture of the grilled flatbread and deep fried falafels were met by the fresh vegetables and tahini sauce. For dinner, I had an amazing meze experience at Fakhr El-Din. Meze consists of small dishes to taste, sort of like tapas in Spain, and I basically tasted everything that was put in front of me, including a really creamy Hummus and a dish of chicken liver wih molasses (my personal fav). I am currently lying in bed from food coma. #VisitJordan #ShareYourJordan #ShotOniPhone6sPlus I will be exploring more of Amman tomorrow. 🇯🇵🐱🍩 The cuuuutest handmade cat donut from Floresta Nature Donuts @floresta_nature_doughnuts at Shin Kyogoku 新京極 Market in Kyoto. These are called Doubutsu Donut どうぶつドーナツ or “Animal Donut”. I have wanted one since I saw them on instagram awhile back! These animal donuts became a sensation about 4 years ago, created by Floresta in Nara. Due to the massive success of the animal donuts, they now have branches all over Kansai region (Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, etc)! There are many different animal designs, but this cat donut is one of their original designs. The donuts are all cake-based and the ears are made of almonds. So adorable! Special thanks to my friend @soulstruck for the tips ❤️! @op.118 and I practically ran to find these donuts when you told us there is one near Nishiki Market! #ShotOniPhone6s #ShotOniPhone6sPlus #toocutetoeat #floresta #どうぶつドーナツ #donutscookiesandcream #eeeeeats #buzzfeedfood

⛩🇯🇵🍦 A modern take of the well-loved, fish-shaped Taiyaki from a food market at Fushimi Inari in Kyoto by @op.118. Taiyaki normally contains red bean paste or custard cream, but this parfait one has whipped cream, chocolate pocky stick, green tea paste and red bean paste as well as crunchy cereal inside! Teh Kotak at Pianemo view point in Raja Ampat, West Papua 🇮🇩. I am Indonesian and grew up drinking this boxed teh melati / jasmine tea. The sweetness is perfectly tailored to indonesian taste buds! (though i remember the box being much smaller back then 😜) When you google Raja Ampat, this is the image you will get. Pianemo is a cluster of coral islands that appears colorful from above due to the varying depth of water. The lighter part you see is the shallow part with white sand bottom, giving it that vibrant turquoise color. To get up to the hill for this view is pretty easy since they have built wooden ladders and a balcony view point, but it can be a bit steep for those who aren’t fit. The weather gets very hot out there in the afternoon and you will be sweating a bucket by the time you get on top. It got so hot that some of us jumped straight into the water after!
